Field Notes

Description:

Large Butterfly about 2 1/2 inches tall and long. Leaf colored. The top of the wings is also darker in color. The Evening Browns fly around in the evening and night and that is how they got their name.

Habitat:

Woodlands, meadows.

Notes:

This butterfly kept on flying away and kept it's wings closed when it landed.
