Field Notes

Description:

It is small to medium sized frog of Indian wetlands. It is olive brown in colour with black spots and bands all over the upper body. The underside is white. They have a white vertibral stripe.

Habitat:

It is commonly seen in paddyfields even where is little water. It is also found in gardens and medaows. Large number of them can be seen in grass and other damp areas especially when it rains.
