Description:

Graveyard Grasshoppers can grow up to a whopping three inches long. The adults have wings, but they are a non flying grasshopper. Young Romalea Guttata are black with a yellow, orange, or red stripe down their back. Adults can get up to three inches long and are black with more yellow, orange and red markings. The markings are more mottled than the single stripe that the young have. Wings on the adults are black with yellow and orange markings and open to a brilliant red on the inner wings.

Habitat:

Graveyard grasshoppers are native to the southeastern and south central portion of the United States. It is the most distinctive grasshopper species within the southeastern United States, and is well known both for its size and its unique coloration
