Woops I forgot to mention that unknown spottings are still put in their appropriate category. Other category (starfish) is used for mollusks (e.g., squid, slugs, snails, worms, etc.) and other remaining marine invertebrates (e.g., nudibranches, jellyish, starfish, etc.).
Yes it is a leaf foot bug - white zigzag stripe across hemelytra is an identifier Nice photo :)

This appears to be a Leaf-footed Bug of the genus Leptoglossus, but I am not able to tell which species it may be. Here is a guess, but you would really need to compare it with other members of this genus: http://bugguide.net/node/view/3393
