Description:

small tree growing in Adelaide hills garden

Habitat:

garden suburban Adelaide

Notes:

Small tree 3-8m high, leaves oblanceolate 8-15cm long and about 2.5cm wide, leathery with longitudinal veins prominent, tip pointed, Flowers cream at first turning bright red in dense rounded racemes about 6cm across in upper leaf axils, the style is creamy-white smooth and straight to about 2cm.
