Thanks Ken.. that is close enough for me... I have only seen them once...
Yes - I did check our collection for this Cerambycidae (longicorn) beetle but unfortunately we have nothing with the striking banded colouration on the antennae. My "close to" guesses are in the genera: Penthea or Corrhenes or Platyomopsis. Remember there more described species of beetles (about 500,000) than all the flowering plants in the world (about 250,000 species) which gave rise to the beetle book with the title: God had an inordinate fondness for beetles! sy Ken
