Field Notes

Habitat:

Breeds in wet coastal tundra. Winters along mudflats, estuaries, marshes, flooded fields, sandy beaches, and shores of lakes and ponds

Notes:

There was a large group of these with a few other similar species mixed in such as a few Least Sandpipers running among them and a few Black-bellied Plovers that were as is natural for them much more wary of me and kept moving away. This guys were all on rest mode it seemed. They were a bit humorous looking standing on 1 leg, beaks tucked in to their backs and all fluffed up.

Great series Livan! It's interesting to see the differences in yours and mine Dunlin plumage. With pictures taken on almost the same day but on opposite sides on North America.
