Field Notes

Description:

Both sexes have chalky white to greenish yellow coloration. Under side closely mottled with fine brown or green lines. Under hind wing is with or without red-ringed silver spots. Upper side of front wing has black margins.

Habitat:

Common visitor to gardens and city roads. Comes to flowers and damp patches.

Notes:

that day, when i photographed it, was a sunny day. i found several pairs of the same butterfly mating on side by bushes...
