Cane toads are commonly confused with Southern and American toads. Considering that this toad does not have the defined ridge between the nostril and eye that Cane Toads have, and the fact that I found it in Northern Alabama (which is well North of the Cane Toad's normal distribution area) I do not think that this is a Cane Toad.
