Description:

A cooing dusky turtle dove, a dove found only in Africa and the Arabic peninsula, spotted here in a public garden in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Habitat:

Distribution: SE Sudan, W & SE Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia to Uganda, patchily SW through mountains of Rift Valley to N Malawi, and SE through Kenya highlands to NE Tanzania; also SW Arabic peninsula
