Description:

Similar to Little Bee-eater but much larger; dark green above and deeper rufous-cinnamon below; a yellow throat, a conspicuous white cheek spot and a black gorget; black band through the eye; may or may not have a blue line above the eye
Sexes are alike
Photo taken at Samburu National Park, Kenya

Habitat:

Highland and forest edge. Generally, between 1800-2300m above sea-level.
