Description:

A flat cluster of creamy white flower heads with a yellow center. Height: 2.5 ft.

Habitat:

Spotted along an open meadow trail north of Chippewa Picnic Area on Hwy 26.

Notes:

Aster is Latin for "star." Once the ray flowers are shed, the seedhead and flattened bracts look like stars.
