Field Notes

Description:

Probably this insect is Andrena milwaukeensis, but I just can't tell. Andrena is the largest genus in the family Andrenidae, which has nearly world-wide distribution. This particular bee was about 9-10mm long.

Habitat:

Forested edges and meadows.
