Field Notes

Description:

Yellowish green stink bug with a red band across shoulder and head. This was a rare and exciting find. I thought it was the more common Red-shouldered stink bug until I noticed the sharp shoulders and red on the head.

Habitat:

Spotted at the Palo Alto Battle Ground National Historic Park near Brownsville, Texas.
