Field Notes

Description:

white petals tinged with purple, very hairy stems, stems not woody. possibly P. tomentosum.

Habitat:

forest, plateau

Notes:

I spotted this flower on a trail I took from Chapada dos Guimaraes near Cuiaba.

Unfortunately, no, nothing else stood out about this plant that I remember.
could be some unusual, or new pelargonium.... U remember anything of the leafs? or a smell? Well, it´s fun anyway :D
Thanks. I think you're on the right track. I searched P. campestre and came across another. It looks a bit more like P. tomentosum, but still not 100%. This plant was about waist high (3', 1m) and unfortunately these are the only 2 photos I have of it.
some kind of geranium (2 upper petal, 3 downwards facing)? - like Pelargonium campestre how big was this plant? Any pictures of the leaf?
