Description:

A wild grevillea spotted in the Lamington National park, Queensland, Australia. Species unknown. There are 350 species of grevillea endemic to Australia; fewer occur in the wild.

Habitat:

Subtropical rainforest

Notes:

Birds and larvae do love grevilleas. The first grevilleas collected in Australia were amongst the collections made by Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander who arrived on Captain Cook’s ship the ‘Endeavour’ in Botany Bay, Sydney, on 28th April 1770.

Grevilleas are amongst my favourite of all Aussie plants. This one is beautiful.
