Field Notes

Description:

A young Barn swallow wich I found last Friday, in central Volos city, Greece. Those few last days I keep it in my house and tomorrow it will set it free, since it's ready to be released. All swallows and swift species are protected by the Greek law and when found unable to fly, they should be send in specialized wildlife centers, but in some cases, especially those of newly fledged chicks, the birds can be treated by individuals who have the knowledge to provide rescue and rehabilitation.
