Description:

My sister captured these photos. And the second photo was so disturbing. This big reptile is already endangered because of continued hunting by the natives in our town.

Photo credits to my sister Conielyn Generale. There is a municipal resolution in our town about prohibition of capture and consumption of this lizard species but sadly, it still is not properly implemented.

This kind of bayawak although not endangered is decreasing in number. This reptile is found only in Mindanao faunal region.
