based on the detail in the pattern on the underside wing of the orange butterfly, I would like to suggest Silvery Checkerspot, or perhaps Pearl Crescent as well - not sure. I don't have a guess at the black one, looks like a Skipper.
Orange butterfly might be Northern crescent butterfly.
