Field Notes

Description:

Large patch of corticioid fungi that mostly covered the base of a dead tree stump. Leathery, warty, ochre colored surface that gradually turned white at the furry margin.

Habitat:

Grew on the base of a dead tree stump (unidentified) in a mixed forest.

Notes:

I think microscopic examination is needed for an ID. Spotted in Landgoed Bannink in rural area of Colmschate, Holland.
