Field Notes

Description:

Very difficult to see when camouflaged on a twig this one was about 50mm across the legs and is the largest I have seen

Habitat:

They are common here and can be found hiding along twigs in the day or in webs at night. This one found its way into the studio and seemed to dance about until photographed. It then rode the container back out and happily climbed off when offered a twig

Notes:

these are not a spider I would expect to see wandering into an apartment
