Field Notes

Description:

Almost similar as the Chestnut-backed Chickadee except for the back color and song. Black cap covers the eyes and black throat. Gray back and pale chest to belly. May show some color on flanks. Very small and they song sounds like their name.

Habitat:

Found in mid to northern states in mostly wooded areas. Can also be found in neighborhood parks.
