Field Notes

Description:

Small white herb, probably an Elephantopus (Asteraceae). I didn't notice any basal leaves, just those subtending the head. I failed to count the number of ligulate florets, but here it appears there's just two of them (Elephantopus has 3).

Habitat:

Lowland forest trail

Notes:

Looks like a little cherub in the forest to me :D. But likely a weedy species up Northern Philippines. Me hopes it's a new one.
