Description:

A labour of love this one. After finding a lacewing larvae in the garden I hand reared it for three months, collecting prey for it and generally looking after it to get a photo of the lacewing - cocoon - shed larval skin combo. I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I did nurturing this picture.

This is wonderful, David! After raising a few caterpillars myself last summer, I know how you feel raising an insect from its larval form to adult. Good job!
