Description:

The American goldfinch is a small yellow bird with black forehead and wings

Habitat:

Patches of thistles and weeds, dandelions on lawns, sweet-gum balls, road sides, open woods, also feeders.

These pictures were taken in a roadside thistle patch near a shopping center.
