Field Notes

Description:

Spiny Orb Weaver.

Notes:

I found this guy on a swampy ocean trail In Key Largo Fl, about 10 years ago. I believe it is some sort of Orb Weaver, but I have not been able to exactly match it to anything.
I love how its shell looks like a Happy Face.
It was about the size of a Large Pinky Nail.
