A pair of white-eared bulbuls flying far and catching sunset colours across the Eastern mangroves of Abu Dhabi, UAE. Flying with their wings in perfect opposite phase...

Habitat:

Coastal, mangrove.

Notes:

Distribution: Arabic peninsula, Kuwait, mid and southern Iraq, southern Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and parts of India.

Thanks Geodialist! This picture was taken with a Nikon D7000 body, at the long end of a Nikon 70-300 VR lens, hand held from a kayak. Unfortunately I'm travelling at the moment and don't have access to the EXIF data, but it would have been a fast shutter speed. Now I didn't "unfav" the muskrat! I am a fan of all rodents:-) But it has indeed disappeared from my list of favourites. I am not sure that you can "unfav" spottings but I will play with it. In any case this is a glitch and I will signal it to Peter and Yasser. Now I will "refav" the muskrat!

Awesome photo, Daniele! Two technical questions: 1) What photo gear did you use? 2) What were the camera settings, e.g., f-stop, shutter speed, etc.? Unrelated topic: Last night I took a quick look at the PN Home page. I noticed you favorited my "Common Muskrat" spotting. I don't see your avatar on the muskrat spotting page this morning -- did you unfavorite my spotting? (Is that possible?) Weird stuff!
