Hi Ava (and Marc)! This is one of the persistent bugs with our current mapping system: all mainland China locations get assigned to Paracel Islands, a group of Island in the South China sea. This will only get resolved when the new site is deployed. A similar bug is causing all locations on mainland France to be assigned to Tromelin Islands. As long at the pin is on the right location and correct coordinates are recorded, the right name should eventually get displayed next to the map.

The map is saying your spottings are from the 青海, Paracel Islands, but i don't think that can be correct, can it?
