Field Notes

Description:

I think this may be a side view or a different species from my other spotting of this genus from this sample. I see a distinct lip in the center and the long spines on each end look like it to me at least, even if it only has two prongs (that I can see)

Habitat:

A marine biologist on board skimmed some plankton using really fine mesh nets and we took a drop from that sample and placed it under a microscope. The sample was skimmed in Izhut Bay just off Afognak Island in somewhat shallow water (less than 200 feet).
