Field Notes

Description:

Really weird fly with elongate eyes. The head is triangular shaped and the antennae have very long arista (best seen in the last picture). 4 mm long.
Family Sciomyzidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Notes:

Maybe a Grass Fly, Chloropidae
