Field Notes

Description:

~1cm long, elegantly fringed wing margins
FAMILY PYRALIDAE is the closest match

Habitat:

visiting boneset flowers in a garden in the late evening, cool, getting dark

Notes:

Flying habit seemed slow, labored more like fluttering compared to other moths, all individuals, many of them, were fluttering towards the end of the day over lawn and meadow
