Lovely! Do you have any other views of this mantis? The purple on the femora and lack of stripes on the face could indicate that this is a European Mantis (Mantis religiosa). I don't feel comfortable saying that is the species definitely though. http://bugguide.net/node/view/29517
Praying Mantis...!! Their form changes in colour as per environmental shade.... This one is suitable for greenery and humid climate and weather.
