Description:

Vanessula is a genus of butterflies in the Nymphalidae family. It contains only one species, Vanessula milca, the Lady’s Maid.

Habitat:

Seen on bushes by the side of a dirt road running through the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, SW Uganda.

Notes:

Markings are similar to the Hewitson's Acraea, Acraea alciope, but the butterfly's shape looks different.
