Description:

This large bat was spotted at the bird sanctuary outside of Mysore India. The bats were hanging upside down in trees, not being active since they are nocturnal. They are very easy to spot since they are large - about the size of a cat.

Habitat:

The Indian flying fox lives in tropical forests and swamps, near bodies of water. They are found in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka.

Notes:

This one has a baby clinging to her!
