Description:

In my ongoing quest to get good shots of this bird, my subject again stayed very far away. One of these days I hope one comes close for a good shot! In the meantime, it's really nice watching them.

Thanks, gatorfellows! I certainly will keep trying and maybe one day succeed. That slipping around behind the trunk is something I've experienced, too - crafty birds!
Keep trying and you will prevail :) My experiences with woodpeckers is they always slip around behind the trunk just as I get the camera focused.
