Field Notes

Description:

When I woke up in the morning this spider had made it's web across my window during the night. Photos 1 to 3 are taken from outside, Photo 4 taken from inside as she was wrapping up her catch, and photos 5 & 6 were taken later that same day.

Habitat:

The hose was in a mountainous rainforest area between San Isidro de la General and Dominical in Costa Rica.

Argiope sp., but I cannot tell you if it is Argiope argentata or Argiope savignyi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argiope_argentata http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argiope_savignyi I slightly would tend to Argiope argentata, but I am not 100% sure.
