Field Notes

Description:

A shallow lake with tall palm trees that blue and yellow macaws roost and sleep in every night.

Habitat:

rainforest, woodlands

Notes:

Every night around 6.30pm, about 6 or more pairs of blue and yellow macaws land in the trees. They can make quite a racket. It's the only place where I've seen so many macaws at once besides a clay like in Peru near Puerto Maldonado.
