I moved her out of the road near lake Guntersville.

Habitat:

Ponds and lakes

Notes:

Thats my shoe in the picture and I wear a size thirteen, so that's put the turtle length (shell only) at about fifteen inches.

This is not a painted turtle. This is a (Eastern) River Cooter, Pseudemys concinna. The size makes sense for a female.
Not a Painted Turtle. Looks like a cooter to me.
