my guide spotted this is some leaf litter around a tree. he looked for the larger mother, but had no luck. this was one of the first scorpions I'd seen and still the smallest. I saw this in Harau Valley in Central Sumatra.

I definitely agree with you Jason. I'm looking forward to visiting again this winter. I've seen orang-utan, largest orchid, Rafflesia and Bornean elephant, and will try for some of the rest.
Cool! Indonesia is a very beautiful country.. Maybe you can go to to Sumatra again to see a Sumatran Tiger, Sumatran Rhino etc.. I have to find you a photo of our local scorpions. That little one is as big as ours get.
These are known to enter ear canals.
