Field Notes

Description:

Very small butterfly with the wingspan only 25 to 35 mm. The Northern Crescent has a wide variety of habitat preferences from abandoned city lots to mountain meadows, practically anywhere that asters grow. Those two landed for a drink of water on my wet driveway.
