The head shape says poisonous to me which mean cottonmouth which have markings just like water snakes
Agree with Mitch, could be a Banded or Midland. Thought it looked more like a Northern.
My best guess (without seeing belly markings) is a Midland Watersnake, Nerodia sipedon pleuralis. It definitely looks like a watersnake in the genus Nerodia.
