Field Notes

Description:

A desert blond tarantula at the Tulsa Zoo. Part of their "Life in the Desert" exhibit which mostly had Arthropods. This one had actually just molted but I couldn't get a shot of its molted husk. That would have been pretty cool.

Habitat:

Southwestern United States, especially Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern California.
