Description:

It was rather a surprise to find this unique moth featuring in the back porch one night. Resting on a ragged fabric, it resembled an organism that may have survived the Jurassic era.
Its wing shape, broomstick appendages and feather weight are interesting characteristics. I've seen a variety of plume moths in the Moth Gallery. It was good to get close and personal with one.
