Description:

Baby blue jay only able to make shirt hops and no sustained flight.

Habitat:

My back yard...just grass and one elm tree. Unable to locate nest but parents are keeping a close eye on the baby bird.

If this is your backyard ,then a fledgling should be safe here . Safe location,no cats. I had found a dove fledgling in a location where it had about 40 percent of survival chance ,what with the cars,cats and dogs and people walking on that side walk, I took it to the wild life museum. Dove being doting parents waited for two days for the baby. i have been remorseful since.
