Field Notes

Description:

little creeping herbal plant, with blue flowers ( about 2-3 mm diameter)

Habitat:

meadows, field, sunny dry place, kind of a pioneer plant

Notes:

I just found out, that this plant is common in Mediterranean and Eurasia, can also be found in south Germany, but in Switzerland and Austria it is quite rare

These flowers seen here in September.. Hope I get chance to post..!!
I think yours is the scarlet pimpinel. It should have pistils ans stigma... every flower has (at least I think they have) your picture is a bit blurry- I think your pimpinel has them too
or maybe my equipment is not that sophisticated to capture those tiny parts!
Monkey mind this is simply beautiful. It differs from mine because mine do not have pistils and stigma.
Just found out that there is a blue variation to Anagallis arvensis. Who could tell me if this really is a Anagallis foemina or a blue A. arvensis?
