Field Notes

Description:

Brown and black plant but with two red spots on the wings. "color extremely variable; can be distinguished from similar rhopalids by the following combination: antennomere IV ca. 1.5 times as long as III, and distinctly wider; wing membrane considerably protruding behind abdomen (for at least the length of the apical segment); last abdominal segment with white margin dilated medially and laterally, or with 3 spots (vs dark median band)"

Habitat:

Unknown weed in pumpkin patch. Found around the world.
