Description:
8-18.5" (20-47 cm) this one on the larger side of that. Tan to dark brown, often coated with algae or mud. Three rows of weak to prominent keels, serrated or toothed in the back. A massive head with powerful jaws.
Habitat:
Freshwater. Likes soft mud bottoms & abundant vegetation.
Notes:
I snapped a few photos & got it off the road.
