Field Notes

Description:

A very large Tarantula, seen at night with flash. Had to be very careful moving as when it detected the slightest movement, it darted into its hole in the ground.
The guide told me this was the largest tarantula they had.

Habitat:

Taken with flash during a night walk through the rainforest/jungle beside the Braulio Carrillo National Park, Costa Rica.
