Field Notes

Description:

This is another variety of portulaca. This has a much flatter leaf. The flowers are also much larger than the tiny/spikier plants that my research shows are related. This variety spreads about 18 inches or more and covers the space with flat succulent leaves. It can get about 2 or 3 inches tall. It likes well drained soil and is an annual.
