We have something very similar in Costa Rica I used to eat them, when child...

In Malaysia, we call Letup-letup. Same meaning with Clepukan i think. Ya, its edible. Taste like banana, i like to search this fruit around the bushes when i was a child.

wild passion fruit, not ripe yet. It will turn yellow when its ripe.

Passion flower fruit. Spinyfruit.

in Java Indonesia, we call it "clepukan",.. it's edible too :)
